Thanksgiving Day at Cornerstone Baptist Church
Dear Friends:
Thank you so much for you interest in assisting Cornerstone Baptist Church on Thanksgiving Day with our "Community Dinner" and "Coats and Blankets of Love Event". We are honored that you would consider spending part of your day with us touching the lives of others. As you may know the purpose of this outreach is to minister primarily the homeless and indigent in the South Dallas/Fair Park community by extending to them a hand of care, concern and compassion. The mass feeding that takes place on Thanksgiving morning, is an extension of the other feeding ministries of Cornerstone that is provided every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Years ago our church resolved that if it "right" to serve the homeless and indigent on Thanksgiving morning, that it was also right to touch the lives of hurting people throughout the year. Thus, we thank the number of volunteers who work in partnership with us throughout the year and am thankful that you empower and enable us to fulfill our mission to this community. If you are desiring to assist us on Thanksgiving morning, the event will take place at: Cornerstone Baptist Church 1819 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard Dallas, TX 75215 (click for map) (This is the location of our new worship center). THANKSGIVING DAY 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon Since the event will take place on the parking lot, you can either park on one of the adjacent streets to the new church or at the current church location, 2815 South Ervay Street, Dallas, TX 75215 (click for map). It is within walking distance. Volunteer Opportunities: (Please be FLEXIBLE!!!!)
