Champions of Hope Mentoring Expanding

Posted by rachel on August 26, 2011

The Village Church at Charles Rice Learning Center in 2008.  That summer, over 400 volunteers came out to clean, build, and paint to make Charles Rice a great place for learning.  In 2009 and 2010, even more volunteers came out to beautify Charles Rice with great artwork, murals, and playground games.

The relationship with Rice has also led to a partnership with JJ Rhoads Elementary School.  However, more mentors and support is needed to make this expansion a success.  There is training available to assist mentors to be as ready and equipped as possible.  Relationships are all unique and intricate, but our staff is here to support the mentors in the good times and the hard times.  From the very beginning, we want mentors to be as informed as possible about relational ministry in South Dallas.
